Abstract
Abstract
This chapter first summarizes the book’s arguments. It then demonstrates how the four sets of techniques proposed in Chapter 6 can be put into practice by combining them into four models: the algorithmic model, stable model, elastic model, and amorphic model (in increasing order of flexibility). It illustrates how the four models can be applied using the case of Hong Kong. The chapter then draws a connection between the demands of internal logic and those of external constraints, presents examples of the empirical data needed to draw conclusive observations using the book’s ideas, and highlights several directions for future research.
