Abstract
Abstract
This chapter outlines the research design of the monograph’s empirical investigation. It introduces the hypotheses and expected findings of the empirical inquiry and critically examines previous studies. It then discusses how it translates consumer rights and the factors potentially affecting compliance into dependent and independent variables. The chapter also deals with how it generated the data for the case study. In the next step, the chapter outlines the techniques for the data analysis, including the measurement of the levels of compliance, the statistical tools used, and the visualization of the findings. Finally, the chapter concludes by reflecting upon some of the methodological challenges of the empirical inquiry.
