Abstract

Abstract We propose in this chapter that we adopt the strategy of the future anterior that we have been exploring in this book to address the crises currently faced not only by the humanities but also by humanity at large. The limit case is climate change, and we consider what special awareness the humanities bring to the current situation: an understanding of the ethical limitations, global implications, and historical emergence of our presumptions. We propose a model for acting collectively to change our trajectory and to protect what will have been.
