Abstract
This final chapter takes a run back through the book, not by summarizing the contents of the resistance, but by focusing on those resisting the resistance: usually the privileged and entitled. It’s composed of thirteen rhetorical tropes that recur through the cases and history more generally, and can be seen in action to this day. Thus, we consider: the Lie, the Inevitable, the Victim, Telescopic Philanthropy, Incremental Impediments, Othering, Projection, Dead Catting, the Straw Person, the Scapegoat, the Motive, Salting the Earth, and Romantic Nostalgia.
