Abstract

AbstractThe Epilogue consider the overall significance of Catholicism within the ambit of British religion. It offers some cautious thoughts on the Catholic community and how it engages with its faith in the context of the current Covid pandemic, which began in early 2020. It reflects on the impact the Covid pandemic is likely to have on the study’s main findings in the future. While offering some informed speculation, it stresses that the more significant long-term effects of the pandemic will likely emerge gradually. Finally, this Epilogue emphasizes that the new survey provides a solid benchmark against which to judge the lasting effects of the pandemic on Catholics in living Britain.
