Abstract
This chapter discusses the functions, aims, and structure of the WTO and the trade policy rules and agreements that it implements and administers. It introduces to the students the dispute settlement mechanism of the WTO and the decision-making process there. Salient features of some of the multilateral agreements like Agreements on Agriculture, Agreement on Rules of Origin, Agreements on TBT and SPS, Agreement on TRIPS, and Plurilateral Trade Agreements on Government Procurement, are also discussed.
