Abstract
AbstractThe chapter summarizes the results of the book, and indicates some points that would benefit from further study. For example, it would be interesting to see other, less Kantian, developments of the proposed function-based methodology. Much of the discussion of the function of modal judgment is underpinned by the claim that the distinction between objective and subjective is not exhaustive: this claim, and its consequences, may be worthy of further exploration. The suggestion that conceivability approaches to modal epistemology could be enhanced in relation to an account of transcendental philosophy also has scope for further development.
