Abstract
Abstract
A diagnosis of CFS/ME is made on the basis of what the patient says—that is on their symptoms and the history of their illness. There are no findings on examination (clinical signs) in CFS/ME and so far there is no medical test. A full history, physical examination, and laboratory investigations or ‘tests’ are important, however, to exclude other conditions that could be causing the symptoms.
