Abstract
In this work, the issue of transverse vibrations of a hysteresistype elastic dissipative characteristic beam with a dynamic absorber is considered. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the dynamic absorber, i.e., to select its optimal parameters, analytical expression of transfer function is determined. The problem of dynamic damping of nonlinear transverse vibrations of an elastic beam with variable cross-section is solved. In this case, the dissipative properties of the beam material and the elastic damping element of the dynamic absorber are hysteresis type and are taken into account by a nonlinear function of one value.
