Abstract

The paper presents experimental data on the interaction of manganese chloride with hexamethylenetetramine in an aqueous medium at 25 °C by the isothermal solubility method and establishes the formation and concentration limits of the release of new complex compounds from saturated equilibrium solutions of the following composition: [MnCI2 · (CH2)6N4 · 2H2O], [MnCI2 · 2(CH2)6N4 ·5H2O] and their physico chemical properties have been studied. IR absorption spectra were studied to determine the structure and location of the bond between the complexant and the ligand. It was determined that in the [MnCI2 · 2(CH2)6N4 · 5H2O] complex, two water molecules and two hexamethylenetetramine molecules are connected to the central manganese atom by a coordinate bond in the first sphere, and three water molecules are located in the second sphere and are connected by a hydrogen bond with hexamethylenetetramine, chlorine ion and coordinated water molecules.
