Abstract

This paper considers an evaluation of environmental conditions on the territory of urban ecosystems. The research was conducted within Jean Monnet Module project 101085133 – EUGREEN, which is co-funded by the European Union. The evaluation of environmental conditions is considered as a constituent part of the integral estimation of many factors affecting the population health. In urban planning, the assessment of climate and environmental conditions is one of the stages of determining the indicator of the quality and safety of life activities of the city population. To assess the quality of life of the population according to the “Environmental conditions” indicators, it is suggested to use bioclimatic characteristics, which are effective indicators of the thermal structure of the environment of human life, especially in conditions of climate change. The purpose of the study is to determine a qualitative assessment of the environmental conditions of various urban areas of Ukraine, as a certain background against which other functions of the city are performed, as well as for their further use to ensure comfortable microclimatic conditions in residential areas.
