Abstract
This article provides information on scientific research conducted in the "Ecology of Silkworm Breeding and Prevention of Chemical Poisoning" laboratory of the Silkworm Scientific Research Institute (Uzbekistan) on the creation of heat-resistant, high-yielding breeds and hybrids suitable for summer and autumn. Due to the lack of bivoltine and polyvoltine breeds of mulberry silkworm resistant to harsh continental climatic conditions of Uzbekistan, within the framework of scientific research, genotypes were selected in the population of monovoltine breeds, which are resistant to sudden changes in spring and summer, hot temperature and dry conditions, and preserve the genetic and genetic potential to the maximum. Based on them, several breeding generations were isolated, and information was provided on the research in the direction of creating heat-resistant high-yielding breeds and hybrids based on the selected families. In the initial selection studies carried out in 2021-2023, the egg productivity indicators of the promising Line 1, Line 2, Line 15 and Line 16 systems, i.e. the number of eggs, egg weight, and the number of unfertilized and dried seeds, were analyzed and given a comparative assessment.
