Abstract
A study conducted at a university in Guangzhou examined 267 students, revealing a positive correlation between L2 grit and the intercultural competence of students. This relationship was found to be mediated by the students’ willingness to communicate digitally. The present research aims to provide an analysis of L2 grit, intercultural competence, and digitally willingness to communicate in the context of digital communication informally. Subsequently, the study will present the findings concerning the associations among grit, intercultural competence, and willingness to communicate. Lastly, the paper will discuss the limitations of the study and offer potential pedagogical implications.
