Abstract
The effects of photoexcitation on the dynamics of the CDW in K0.3MoO3 are demonstrated. A light
illumination causes a relaxation of the CDW phase strain, which can be utilized to instantly prepare the
stress-relieved phase configuration as a well-defined initial condition for each measurement. This was clearly
observed in the optical modification of the time evolution of sliding threshold voltage and in the amount of
conduction delay time after the step voltage application.
