Abstract

Increasing phenomena of climate change following by thedeformation of the geological surface area of Indonesia cause variousdisasters such as landslides and floods. During the period of 2008 to 2016, there have been 307 total occurrences destructed many locations in thecountry with many mitigations have been done according to the type andlocation of the disaster with some different degree of success. This study isaimed to describe how landslide mitigation related to spatial configurationhad been organized in the proposals. A literature study has been done todescribe and compare each of the techniques utilized in the cases. Theresult explains the cause and the typology strategy of landslide mitigationwhich is divided into two steps, the preliminary and mitigation design. Allthese steps are finally found to be in close connection to the spatialarrangement which is very useful to decide safety precaution before theevent of a landslide.
