Extraction of Lipase from Rice Bran Using Aqueous Two-Phase System

Abstract

Aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) is an efficient and economical bioseparation technique. In this paper, the PEG2000/(NH4)2SO4 aqueous two-phase system was used to extract lipase from rice bran, and the best conditions were 24% PEG2000, 14% (NH4)2SO4, 15% addition of crude enzyme and pH 7.5. At this condition, the partition coefficient and activity recovery were highest and the activity recovery could achieve 90.29%.
