Analysis of Potash Resource Situations in China and Development of Yiliping Saline Lake in Qinghai Province

Abstract

The potash resource in China is in shortage for a long time and the production of potassium salt fertilizer is insufficient. In order to fulfill the demand of potash, the scale of prospecting should be enlarged and the saline lakes are important resources for potash. In this paper, potash resource situations in China was analyzed and Yiliping saline lake was taken as an example to analyze the area characteristic, potash resource reserves and economic benefit prospects. With contrasting and analyzing all relative data, the results show that more potash resources should be developed to meet the demand and the reserve of potash resource of Yiliping saline lake is huge and the market environment is reliable and comparatively stable, which means Yiliping saline lake can be invested and developed in large scale.
