Abstract

Aimed at the prominent problem of algorithm complexity, massive operation scale and difficulty in applying the wavelet transform in the field of travelling waves signal detection, this paper presents a current travelling waves singularity signal detection method for shipboard power system single-phase grounding fault (SGF) line selection using morphological gradient technology for extracting transient fault features. The simulation results conducted by EMTPWorks have proved that the method presented in this paper have a veracity as well as reliability in grounding fault line selection. It is of high practical value.
