Abstract

Worldwide, hurricanes or tropical cyclones cause immense damage and loss of life, yet we do not have a clear set of guidelines for improving the survivability of heritage structures. This paper synthesizes lessons learned in practice regarding appropriate assessment with discussion of vulnerability indicators, wind and storm surge forces and retrofit approaches
