Abstract
The daily learning and teaching activities in digital campus would be better supported if existing Web applications and services could be accessed on mobile devices. A mobile portal can gather information from different systems and provide integrated and personalized services to the users in a unified manner. This paper discusses the considerations to take when designing a mobile portal in digital campus, illustrates the system architecture of the mobile portal we actually built, and describes the implementation and technical details of the system. The mobile portal introduced in this paper has been in active service at Tsinghua University since May 2012 and has well boosted the efficiency of daily learning and teaching activities in the university.
