Design of Optimized Controller for Fault Diagnosis of Three Phase Induction Motor Using Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

Now days, induction motor drives are used in home appliances and industries for various applications. These machines typically have low efficiencies and need high maintenance for continuous process. Hence, it is necessary to fault diagnose and test the motor for its efficiency with different parameters. The fault controller unit is designed by using Genetic Algorithm for the optimum selection of switching pulses in Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation to the supply input of IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) inverter. The proposed design technique is modeled and verified using Matlab Simulink as one of the effective motor controller for maintaining the constant speed of the motor.
