Abstract
Hurricane visualization is very import to the study of hurricane. In this paper, a particle based hurricane visualization method is introduced under distributed environments. By controlling the generation of the particles, only a few particles are used to expose the hurricane feature. A multi-resolution progressive transmission on network is adapted as the visualization module in the context of our distributed system.
