Abstract
Situation assessment (SA) is essentially a reasoning process based on knowledge, thus knowledge base is one of the most important components of SA system. According to the analysis of situation shaping process, this paper defines the needs of battlefield decision-making on SA system, designs a primary structure of SA system based on knowledge base and expatiates its operation.
