Abstract
The drawback of the current voice communication for coal mine is that only the wired scheduling telephone or a small flexible phone for mine is used for voice contact. According to the existing coal mine environment monitoring systems, a more secure coal mine monitoring system with emergency voice communication is designed based on wireless sensor network (WSN). By introducing voice module which achieves voice, the sensor nodes and sink nodes of the monitor system are redeveloped on the Imote2 and Stargate platforms respectively. This system gives consideration to the real-time of environment data monitor and voice communication reliability in coal mine, and the key technologies of hardware design and software of sensor nodes with voice and their tasks scheduler algorithm with priority are given. This system conquers the defect of wired networks and avoids the high-energy cost of other wireless technology. The experiment results show that the designed system is simple, reliable, and economic and has a great application prospect for coal mine.
