Abstract
The analysis for structural seismic response is a mechanics foundation of earthquake resistance design and seismic prevention. In the study, we make normal mode analysis on the steel storage shelve by using the finite element method and obtain the top 100 order natural frequencies and modes, then combine with the mode decomposition response spectrum method to get the maximum tensile stress, compressive stress and shear stress of the beams and columns. Compared with relevant provisions of GB 50011-2001 and GB50018-2002, it is verified that the strength and stiffness of the steel storage shelve beams and columns are in line with anti-seismic requirements.
