Abstract
The corrosion behavior of stainless steel and carbon steel in the mortars suffered stress is studied by electrochemical tests. The results show that the corrosion of rebar is accelerated as the magnitude of stress increasing. Under the same stress magnitude, compressive stress more seriously degraded the corrosion resistance of rebar than tensile stress in mortar in an aggressive environment.
