Abstract
For wideband LFM signal and ultra-high speed moving target, the signal will have quadratic term in its phase after dechirp processing. The quadratic term is not the target structural feature, and is harmful for target recognition. To solve this problem, the paper proposes a new method based on spectrum envelope correlation to estimate the chirp rate. Firstly, the coefficient of the quadratic term was estimated by the correlation of 2 segment datas spectrum, and then the weighted linear least squares algorithm was used to improve the accuracy of the result. Simulation show that this method reduces the influence of high speed on the range profile efficiently.
