Abstract

Decision tables are used in the elaboration of knowledge representation. This article describes the possibilities of using decision tables for production preparation in enterprises of machine industry. The basic structure and decision tables properties in information processing, based on design rules, were characterized. A procedure for the creation of classical decision tables concerning exemplary pre-treatment decision variants was presented. A method of elaboration of modal decision table for the input material assignment to the production was described. An example regarding the construction of knowledge elements basing on the fuzzy sets and levels of capability and statements certainty was shown. Developed decision tables can be used in the construction of an expert system aided design of technological processes
