Abstract
2-Ferrocenyl-1,1-dicyanobuta-1,3-diene derivatives has been accomplished through the condensation of 2-(1-ferrocenylethylidene) malononitrile and aromatic aldehydes, with sarcosine as the catalyst, in moderate yield (4246%). The electrochemical and photochemical behaviors of the synthesized derivatives have been studied.
