The Research and Realization of QOS for Video Surveillance

Abstract

Video surveillance plays an important role in the industry. The emergence of mobile video surveillance further expands the scope of its application. However, video surveillance suffers many problems such as poor picture quality and long latency due to the network bandwidth and limited device processing capacity. So the application of video surveillance especially through wireless inernert and mobile networks transmission faces many challenges. Quality of Service (QOS) is ability of network supping different traffic with different level of service assurance, A kind of model of QOS -- differentiated service (diffserv) is proposed and applied in video surveillance system, and solves the problem above effectively.
