Abstract
Yb3+, Er3+ co-doped oxy-fluoride transparent glass materials were prepared by high temperature melting method. The formulation was defined, and the preparation technology was studied. The melting temperature was 1020 °C and the constant hour was 45 minutes. The temperature used in the heat treatment and the microcrystalline heat treatment conditions were also studied. Spectral measurement, absorption spectrum measurement, transmission spectrum measurement and a series of other research methods were used to characterize the material. There were two emission peaks which at 545 nm and 665 nm, existed in the Yb3+/Er3+ co-doped materials. The emission peaks correspond to the 4S3/2→4I15/2 and 4F9/2→4I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ion, respectively. The doping amount of rare-earth ions has obvious influence on the luminescence characteristics. When the doping concentration of Er3+ was 3mol% and Yb3+/Er3+ was 6:1.5, the luminescence intensity and efficiency were the highest.
