Application of Machine Vision in Grading and Identification of Grafting Seedlings

Abstract

The automation level of grafting robot is relatively low because it still needs manual grading and identification of seedlings. Machine vision technology is a rapid, nondestructive and real-time inspection technology which is used in many industries. Its speed and accuracy can meet the requirements of sorting and inspection and help improve grafting automation level. It has been used successfully in the identification of quality, outward-feature properties and growth point of seedlings. This paper reviews the recent application of machine vision in grading and identification of seedlings in detail.
