Abstract
Considering geometric linearity and nonlinearity deformation form, the MSE and damping coefficient of the laminated composite cantilever plate were obtained with the elasticity theory based on the modal strain energy (MSE) method. The validity of the theory compute program was validated by the FEM program with the all layers 0° layup case. The longitudinal MSE of the plate at various lengths were investigated under the deformation form above. The damping coefficient of the laminated composite cantilever plate at various fiber orientations. The results are significant for sample fabricate of the laminated composite damping experiment.
