Abstract
Medical Cyber-Physical System (CPS) is integrations of computation and medical processes. Embedded computers and networks monitor and control the medical processes, usually with feedback loops where medical processes affect computations and vice versa. The medical CPS has many unique features, such as high-confidence, hard–real-time, highly-cooperative, highly- interoperative, etc. In this paper, a prototype architecture of medical CPS based on grid computing is proposed. It is argued that this architecture captures the essential attributes of a medical CPS and lead to identification of many research challenges.
