Abstract

The article reviews the socio-economic state of the Republic of Tatarstan during digital economy development, namely public services, infrastructure, living conditions, urban environment, business, digital government, medicine, education, research competencies, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc. The authors focused on the positive trends, problems, and improvement measures. They proposed to set up a Digital Transformation Center that would launch new digital platforms for residents in order to make their life easier. The sustainable growth of the regional economy cannot happen without the state support of new enterprises, startups, customized production market, exchange of knowledge, new jobs in high-tech industries, digital teaching methods, etc. Big data, end-to-end information technologies, neural networks, robotics, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, 3D modeling, virtual reality, and cloud computing can facilitate the innovative economic growth in the region.
