Abstract
The coupled model for laser treatment of plate is presented in this paper. The model takes into account viscoelastic stresses and strains due to temperature and composition change. Heat capacity and viscosity depend on liquid phase fraction. The numerical algorithm is described. Examples demonstrate qualitative features appearing in the model with melting and heat losses into environment. The coupled and non-coupled models give different results.
