Abstract
This research note is based on a pilot study and offers a critical elucidation of slum tourism in India from an ethical standpoint. The results unpack a diverse mix of ethical guidelines embraced by the observed organizations. Heavy traces of voyeurism are found. A complex production
process strives to provide both meaningful and profitable tourist gazes.
