Abstract
A semantic profile technique measures students' impressions of course content. Students rate several course terms using 12 bipolar semantic dimensions. The ratings in six sections of introductory psychology (N = 210) varied depending on individual differences in course grade, achievement orientation, psychological mindedness, and learning style. We report analyses to guide others in adapting the technique to their courses, and we recommend this technique to improve instruction.
