Patient education for all? Skin of colour under-represented again. (Preprint)

Abstract

We examined the representation of people with skin of colour in patient information resources from multiple dermatological bodies around the world. We found a stark under-representation of skin of colour, which can lead to deleterious consequence on health outcomes. Dermatological communities must join the global effort to eliminate racial disparities, to improve approachability, inclusiveness and trust within our specialty.
