UNSTRUCTURED
Verrucae pose a common challenge for patients of all ages and are difficult to treat. Existing treatment methods such as liquid nitrogen spray, cantharidin application, and physical scraping cause discomfort to the patient and yield limited success. However, recent advancements in immunotherapies present a promising avenue for treating these difficult-to-treat hyperplastic lesions. Local injections of immunotherapies, such as MMR, BCG, Candida Antigen, and Tuberculosis PPD, provide a higher cure rate of recalcitrant verruca while also being less painful.
