Public policies on health and housing: factors of radon 222 gas and its effects on lung (Preprint)

Abstract
Lung cancer has increased the mortality rate in the population, and radon 222 gas is the second cause of lung cancer after smoking. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors of radon gas that cause effects on lung cancer in cancer patients according to national and international studies. The theoretical analysis methodology allowed reaching the study of publications regarding the study variable from the data found in scientific information organisations such as Pub Med, Scielo, Scopus and scientific method developed by Instituto Sindical de Trabajo, Ambiente y Salud (ISTAS-CCOO) (2019); a total of 56 publications related to the treatment of radon gas as a cause of lung cancer were established. It has been found that the incidence that is translated and concentrated is in the construction areas of granite material, in waste from mining areas, in closed environments, as well as that air is a factor that spreads the gas with higher level and water is a factor of high concentration; but no strong evidence has been demonstrated about the cause of radon gas.
