BACKGROUND
Background: Open platforms have a substantial impact on the value release of medical research data. Although the development of related platforms is underway, the issue of low data value release persists.
OBJECTIVE
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to present a set of realistic and reasonable data value evaluation processes and methods for the medical science data open platform to enable it manage data and release data value.
METHODS
Methods: This paper creates a medical science data value evaluation index system using information system success, the technological acceptability model, and consumer perceived value theory. Data is collected using a variety of platforms, and empirical analysis is performed using the entropy weight TOPSIS technique.
RESULTS
Results: In this study, we constructed a medical science data value assessment index system, measured the important assessment dimensions such as intrinsic data quality, extrinsic data quality, platform service quality, and user-perceived usefulness; and constructed a medical science data value assessment model, which measured the overall low level of data value of the selected platforms.
CONCLUSIONS
Conclusions: The evaluation index system and evaluation model developed in this study have a scientific basis and can be utilized not only to optimize the platform's data value evaluation process, but also to increase the platform's overall data value level and encourage users to reuse data.
