Massage for neck pain: a systematic review and meta-analysis protocol (Preprint)

Abstract

BACKGROUND

The prevalence of neck Pain(NP) is getting higher and higher, which seriously affects people’s work and life. The therapeutic effect of massage on NP is definite, but at present, there is no systematic evaluation on its safety and effectiveness.The aim of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of massage in the treatment of NP.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of massage in the treatment of NP.

METHODS

The following databases will be searched electronically: Who International Clinical Trial Registration Platform, EBASE, PubMed, Embase, Wan-fang database (Wanfang), the China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) , the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and other resources. If data is eligible for inclusion, revman V. Is used. 5.3 software assessment bias risk, subgroup analysis, data synthesis, and meta-analysis.

RESULTS

This study will present evidence of massage for patients with NP.

CONCLUSIONS

The systematic review will provide reliable evidence to determine whether massage for NP is a safe and effective intervention.
