Abstract

The paper deals with the correlation between the NAFTA shift to USMCA and the extent of the member countries’ cooperation in the NAFTA core automotive industry that is reflected in the intermediates flows intensity. Methodology is based on the analysis of both the dynamics and directions of final and intermediate product flows of NAFTA transport manufacturing inside and outside the union altogether. The study proves interdependence and inextricability of global and regional integrative trends. It has been confirmed that the indispensable precondition for Mexico’s reaching the global cooperation level was the deepened intra-union integration.
