Abstract
Drug interaction, modification of the effects of one drug by another, is a serious problem. This series of articles will deal with the interaction of drugs with other chemical agents, both exogenous and endogenous, as well as those found in foods and those utilized in diagnostic tests. To understand drug interactions and their significance, one must be familiar with the terminology, with the biological sciences, clinical use of drugs, and the current pharmaco-medical literature.
