Ukraine's economy in the imperatives of low-carbon development

Abstract

The report highlights the basic provisions developed by specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to update the current Strategy of Low Carbon Development of Ukraine until 2050, given the need to expand its sectoral coverage and improve organizational and legal mechanisms for its implementation. Scenario model calculations are given taking into account medium-term goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the updated nationally determined contribution of Ukraine, long-term goals for carbon-neutral economy declared by our country, and changes expected in EU foreign trade.
