Abstract

The change in properties of coatings sprayed using the electric arc metallization method was studied. It has been found that the pressure of the air jet increases, the size of the droplets decreases, and their speed increases. It was found that a higher speed of droplets at increased air pressure helps to reduce the time of air contact with them and increase the thickness of their oxides. It was found that with such a surfacing mode of the coating, the structure improves and the mechanical properties increase.
