Abstract
The Ga people of southeastern Ghana were the first to receive a sustained and impactful mission in the then Gold Coast. Recently, however, Ga Christians are rediscovering the essence of their native Kpele religion and culture. There is the dilemma of how a true Ga could ever be a true Christian. This essay engages a theological correlational analysis of a true Ga Christian confronted with two distinct natures of true Ga and true Christian in one personality. The reflection shows that true Ga identity is an aspiration that is hinged on love and faith. And, fragmented as it is, true Ga identity could be realized fully only by uniting with God through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and in anticipation of the coming Kingdom of God at the end of the cosmos.
