Abstract
Present methods of studying inhibition are described and future fields for investigation are outlined.
Comparison is made of the inhibiting and other properties of amines and imines; the imines are more effective as inhibitors than the corresponding amines. Structural theories are advanced in explanation.
The electrical double layer and its effect on inhibition are discussed.
