Abstract
AbstractA model of the seasonal development of Dioryctria amatella (Hulst.) is presented. The proposed biological model considers the various habitats where D. amatella is reported to occur. Cronartium fusiforme Hedge, and Hunt cankers and second-year cones of various pine species are indicated to be the main routes necessary to the development of Dioryctria amatella.
